Responsibilities

The main responsibility for this role is to produce awe-inspiring content that clicks with our audience. We want to reach hundreds of thousands of people on TikTok and other social media platforms.

Other important responsibilities include…

  • Develop and execute social media and digital marketing strategies aligned with overall studio objectives.
  • Ideate, plan, and execute social media marketing campaigns across various platforms (particularly TikTok) with art, technical, and creative support from the development team.
  • Create engaging and relevant content for social media platforms including posts, videos, images, and infographics, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Establish social media presence guidelines, manage player communications across social media channels, and incubate our early player community.
  • Collaborate with creative leadership to align marketing and game direction, while providing product feedback and requests to optimize marketing performance.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, social media tools, and emerging platforms. Monitor and report on social media performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements / Qualifications

The main qualification for this role is deep experience growing at least one social media presence to significant scale.

Other important qualifications include…

  • Proven professional experience in a social media or digital marketing role with tangible results.
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, their features, and best practices for organic and paid marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills with a keen eye for detail. As a remote first team, we have the additional challenge of trying to keep coordinated across time zones and geographies so this is particularly important to us.
  • Familiarity with applications and tools used for digital asset creation (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc.).

Other factors that are valued for this role but are not required include…

  • Basic familiarity with game engines (i.e. Unity), capturing gameplay footage, and using game assets for marketing.
  • Experience in various stages of the game development lifecycle including prototyping, to pre-production, to production, to live operations.
  • Experience developing games with creative, sandbox, open world, or cross platform aspects.
  • Enjoy playing cooperative, multiplayer games.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
